As the world seems to transitioning from analog to digital – this band hits the nail on the head. Brooklyn based duo Analogue Transit blends both elements when writing and performing their unique sound. Influenced by Beck and Radiohead, Jeff Shreiner (keys, sampling, production and vocals) and Kwaku Aning (vocals and guitar) launched the band in 2007 and since then got numerous gigs not only in New York City.

ATR’s alternative electronic rock is an exciting fusion of familiar sounds and melodies paired with unique rhythms and intimate lyrics inspired by «time and space, imagination and thought provocative movies» as Kwaku says.

Kwaku, being described with three words as determined, funny and particular lends his salt and pepper vocals to the studio versions, which he then improvises and reiterates on stage. Spacey and genuine Jeff is something of a production wunderkind pushes and pulls sounds into shapes…

ATR’s second album “Gearheart” is available at iTunes, check it out!!!

This New Orleanian guy behind NOMADIC SUN started writing music at the age of 14 – found his own record label and is about to seduce electronic music lovers while living his nomadic lifestyle.

Kevin Burke, mastermind behind NOMADIC SUN is not the Irish fiddler Kevin Burke. He did not want to be mistaken for the Irish fiddler. “So I came up with NOMADIC SUN instead. It has a few points of meaning to me; it starts with N-O to remind me of New Orleans. I owe a lot to the culture of New Orleans and I want that to always be part of my persona”. While recording his CD, he lived his nomad lifestyle in different cities – including San Francisco, Paris and New York. “In a greater sense, I think of Nomadic Sun as a metaphor for God’s love”.

Burke seems to be a keen thinker. His new album “The Fates” (released August 7, 2009) surprises not only with a unique style of music combining electronic elements and a dynamic side featuring organic instruments. His lyrics range from some English to French and Swahili (!). If you ask him to describe himself, he will answer “Kevin Burke loves meeting people from different places, different languages, vegetarian food, electronic music festivals, dancing, photography and being in love”. Listening to the songs of “The Fates” might make you fall in love, too. Some of the electronic compositions are for the lovers of Air, Depeche Mode and Kraftwerk and harmonize perfectly with the soft soul ballad rhythms that are influenced and inspired by his number one idol Stevie Wonder.

Unfortunately, NOMADIC SUN is currently only touring through US and Canada. If you are over there though, try to make it to one of his shows. For tour dates, music teasers, CDs and contact check nomadicsun.com .
